The start is at the lift mid-station on the Graukogel

Elevation Gain:
  • Checkpoint 1 to Checkpoint 2 :
    1477 to 1985 – i.e. 508 vertical metres

The upper portion of the downhill stage follows the same route as the ascent. Ascending racers must keep to the right-hand side of the slope, while descending skiers must keep as far to the right as possible so as not to endanger ascending competitors. Use heightened caution during the descent!

The race organizers reserve the right to make changes to the course.
The Magical 10,000

For hobby tourers, especially, totalling 10,000 vertical metres in 24 hours probably represents a personal sound barrier.
To achieve this figure, you will need to complete some 20 laps. In terms of time, you will have to average around 1 hour 12 minutes per lap.

The “X” on the map marks the spot which – after having completed 34 laps – you will have to reach in order to set a new world record and thus earn your rightful place in the Guinness Book of Records.

We wish all competitors the best of success!
